I just wanted to take a minute to highlight a really amazing moment that took place this year (2019)! Matthew and Arya both came into the daycare in 2003 and were with United Family Childcare for 3 years. We were very close to their family and lost touch after they moved to Milwaukee in the late 2000’s.

Fast forward, it’s 2019 – my sister and I were at Madison East’s Big 8 Wrestling Tournament to support our little brother and I recognized what I thought was a familiar face from afar. It was pretty presumptuous of me to do this, but I made my way towards the woman sitting on the bleachers on the other side of the gym, and asked if her name was Pam. I knew Pam had an identical twin so I had to probe a bit and explain myself as I didn’t want to come off as a creep. It turned out that this woman WAS Pam and the young girl sitting next to her WAS Arya! It’s as if I’d just hit the lottery!

Anyway, we reunited and exchanged some wonderful memories of their time in the daycare before departing. Pam had nothing but great things to say about my mom and even remembered her cooking. This moment is probably by far one of my favorite memories – we’ve had many opportunities to reunite with past families, but this one is certainly a moment we will never forget.
