Frequently Asked Questions

A helpful guide to help you navigate your childcare questions.

What are your infant and toddler rates?

Our infant rate is currently 330/week which includes meals and wipes. Our 2 years and older rate is currently 290/week which includes meals and wipes. Additional fees may apply which is covered in the policy book. We do not offer part-time care at this time. Cost of care is determined by the economy and increase in costs. We do our best to assess and evaluate all variables to provide the most affordable rates for families.

How many staff are usually on site?

Xiongmee Lee is the main provider and will always be the parent’s first point of contact on a daily. Her husband will assist from time to time as well as Maimoua on days she is available. We have a close family cousin that helps with cleaning and maintaining the space at the end of the day. Staffing remains consistent and you will always have the same provider caring for your child.

Do you have a waitlist and is there a charge to be on the list?

Waitlists often depends on the season and how many children are enrolled at the time. There is a specific provider-child ratio that must meet licensing guidelines at all times. We may have a waitlist and we may not. If you are interested in the daycare, there may be an opening and if not, you can always waitlist. We do not charge families to be placed on our waitlist. Waitlist are on a first-come, first-serve basis. As families remain on the waitlist, we encourage them to seek out other options as being on the waitlist does not guarantee enrollment as it is contingent on when a spot opens which could be months or a year.

What kind of meals are served throughout the day?

The provider serves food she would normally fix for her family. Family meals usually have rice, noodles, and stir-fried vegetables. For infants under one year, the provider serves homemade soft food that has rice/noodles, and vegetables. The provider also provides baby food for infants under one. On special occasions, the children will be given fruit juices and some treats like cake, chips, or fruit snacks. The provider always serves fruit and 100% fruit juice at each meal. At least one vegetable is served at lunch, as well as one cereal or bread product, one protein source, and vitamin D grade A milk. Parents are welcome to substitute snacks for their child if they have a preference for a brand or snack.

Is it possible to schedule a tour of the daycare?

Absolutely! You can schedule a tour by sending us an email or calling and we will make sure to get something scheduled so you can meet with the provider and learn more about the daycare. We will also provide our handy dandy policy/parent book prior so you can get a head start on learning more about the daycare.

Is the Provider CPR-certified? What about the staff?

The provider must be CPR certified every two years and complete about 15 hours of professional development training. Background checks are done annually. Staff do not need to be CPR certified as they are not the main provider and often do not spend enough hours in a provider role to complete any necessary training.

How long do children typically stay in your daycare?

Many of the children enrolled typically come in at 4 months and stay until they are off to pre-k or Kindergarten. We do not have a high turnover of children. Children who do leave the daycare often do so for the following reasons: families are relocating, starting school, or frequent behavioral issues that puts the provider or other children at risk of harm (this is rare, but does happen).

How do you communicate with parents throughout the day?

The provider will usually text or call parents should questions/concerns come up. Texting is usually the preferred method for sending pictures and videos of the children to parents. We do not utilize an online platform program to share out information or track a child’s day like many facilities do mainly for cybersecurity purposes and the safety of the child. Parent’s will always be informed of how their child’s day went, as well as updates on feeding and play when the child is picked up.

Can siblings attend the daycare together?

Absolutely! As long as there are enough spots open to care for both or more siblings. Unfortunately, we do not offer any discounts for families with more than one child attending.

Can parents visit the daycare during the day?

Parents are welcome to stop by and pay a visit, preferably in the morning and late afternoon. We do not recommend visits take place during the afternoon as children are usually getting ready for nap time.
